SOLAR POWER
Solar power is an environmentally friendly and sustainable source of energy. It can be used to produce electricity through photovoltaic cells. The solar panels and inverters convert sunlight into electricity for use during the day, or to be stored in batteries for use at night or when the sun is not shining. As panels are mainly fixed on rooftops their configuration is essential to ensure maximum efficiency.
Ample Energy’s solar energy systems reduce or eliminate electricity costs by providing consistent supply of power and contribute to a cleaner environment by using clean energy.
We believe in installing good quality systems which will provide many years of reliable service. We also offer maintenance of all solar systems.
Globally and in South Africa, the cost of solar electricity has fallen in contrast to the rising costs of municipal (Eskom) electricity. This means that most domestic solar power systems, including solar water heaters, pay for themselves within just a few years and can be an integral part of the household budgeting.
Most households can reduce their municipality reliance by a substantial amount, which means the cost of a solar solution can be realised within a few years.
We utilise tier one solar panels and inverters, the panels have a 20 year warranty and the inverters have a 5 year warranty. Many lower end brands will only have 1 to 2 years.
Photovoltaic panels can use direct or indirect sunlight to generate power, though they are most effective in direct sunlight. Solar panels will still work even when the light is reflected or partially blocked by clouds.
The expectation is a production level of 10-25% of their normal power output, depending on how thick the cloud cover is.
So how does it work?
Solar technology converts sunlight into electrical energy through photovoltaic (PV) panels that concentrate solar radiation. This energy can be directly within your property, and stored in batteries to be used when there is no sunlight.
